According to the announcement made by Wolaita Sodo University for applicants who wish to study privately on the last days of the week under the Remedial Program, "We have registered and paid the required fees and are in the process of starting our studies, but the university has told us that we will not teach you." The university, for its part, informed us that it is working with the Ministry of Education to resolve the issue.

The students and parents who had filed the complaint informed Tikvah Ethiopia today that the university has decided to change the academic schedule from holidays to a regular schedule and teach the students.

"We were summoned today and signed a contract," said Wolaita Sodo University remedial applicants, "The issues set out in the contract are the change of the program from weekends to regular, the fact that applicants are studying privately, the implementation of payments, and the rights and obligations between the university and the students." 

In a statement to Tikvah Ethiopia, the parents of the students said, "We have been relieved of a great deal of stress. We were worried about what to do. We thank the Ministry of Education and Wolaita Sodo University for their positive response."
