Actions ranging from license revocation to final warning taken against vehicle technical inspection institutions

The Addis Ababa Driver and Vehicle Authority announced that it has taken strict action against 24 institutions that were found to have serious deficiencies in their annual vehicle technical inspection.

It stated that the action taken against the institutions will range from license revocation to final warning.

According to the authority, the licenses of 2 inspection institutions that were found to have serious deficiencies were revoked based on the detailed assessment.

4 institutions have been suspended for 3 months, 6 institutions for 1 month until they correct their deficiencies, and they will remain closed.

12 institutions have also been given final warnings to urgently correct the deficiencies in their operations within 1 month, according to the authority.
