The 2017 Alafat song will be held in Addis Ababa and Dredawa, and it is said that preparations have been made for this great song gathering for the past eight months. It is said that in 2017, the festival will be held only in Addis Ababa, Bole Debre Salem, Madhanemalem and Dredawa Legehar Square.

Alafat's singing will be broadcasted live on EOTC television, as well as on national and arts television stations, and it is said that more than five international media and about seven national television stations were present at the scene and took permission to report.
