In the history of Ethiopian political party congresses, the Prosperity Party's congress is the only one that has been inclusive of representatives from all segments of the Ethiopian population, stated Dr. Abiy Ahmed, the president of the party.

This inclusivity has enabled capable leaders, through democratic exchanges of ideas, to emerge from all corners of Ethiopia and move forward, said the president of the Prosperity Party during his opening speech at the party's second regular congress.

He mentioned that if we can continue to move forward united in the usual manner in the next chapter, we can understand from our past history that Ethiopia's future will be successful.

This is why the party's second congress is called "From Word to Culture"; ideas are expressed in words, documented in books and documents, and manifested in actions.

Ideas become culture through practice; culture, in turn, is something that is carried out voluntarily without any coercion, he explained.

In recent times, we have started campaigns to create a clean Ethiopia; this practice must also become a culture; projects must be completed quickly and this should also become a culture, he emphasized.

Dr. Abiy Ahmed, the president of the Prosperity Party, stated that after a party formulates its ideas, it needs a congress to refine these ideas. He indicated that the current congress, being democratic and participatory, will determine the path Ethiopia will take in the future and must ensure its transformative nature.
