#Ethiopia | The press release issued by the "Monetary Policy Committee" yesterday was dressed in optimism. But "apart from inflation rates and pre-calculated benchmarks," most basic economic metrics are not presented in numbers or percentages, so they shortchange many questions for me to consider in style.

The way in which their assessment is presented: it is estimated, indicated, expected, seen, increased, shown, is showing, supports, rises... etc. is not suitable for comparison. 

Still, I firmly believe that if there is clarity before challenges start to bother everyone, it is possible to find a solution together as a people. The people are powerful. And to seek the solution with the people, transparency, transparency, more transparency is needed.

Anyway, excluding the inflation, this is what the detailed commentary of the press release looks like.
