Ethiopia Elected as a Member of the African Union Peace and Security Council

Ethiopia has been elected as a member of the African Union Peace and Security Council in the elections held at the 46th Ordinary Session of the African Union Executive Council that began today.

 

Ethiopia’s election as a member of the council is in recognition of its contributions to peace, security and development in Africa, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

It was also stated that Ethiopia will serve as a member of the council for a three-year term (2025 to 2027).
