A program of appreciation and recognition for those who played a key role in the conflict in the northern part of our country to be marked by the peace agreement will be held today at Friendship Square under the motto 'No more war, no more peace'.

Everyone who said they will stand for peace, from individuals to the government, have paid the price for the peace that has come to Ethiopia today.

Therefore, the peace road from Pretoria-Nairobi-Mekele-Halala Kela played a major role in the peace that has been achieved today.

Civil conflict that crushes the country's economy and opens the door to foreign enemies; The children of the country advised and refreshed the agenda of the promoters of various interests. Today, our country, Ethiopia, has turned its face back to development.

The negotiating team led by Ambassador Redwan Hussain on behalf of the federal government and the negotiating team led by the current interim head of the Tigray region Mr. Reda have contributed significantly to the return to peace.

Former Nigerian President Olesyagun Obasanjo, former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, the African Union and other African institutions including the IGAD will be remembered in history for their contribution to the peace of Ethiopia, which is a symbol of our unity.

Our country, Ethiopia, which has not succumbed to the pressures from various parties, along with continental institutions such as the African Union, has started to avoid foreign interference, and today the fruits of the peace process are being seen.

Army members who participated in the conflict are being reintegrated into society under the guidance of the National Rehabilitation Commission.

At present, the redevelopment of the areas affected by the war in the north and resettlement of residents are also being given attention by the commission.

All parties involved deserve thanks for the peace and stability achieved today. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and African Union Commissioner Musa Faki will hold a program of appreciation and recognition for those who contributed to the peace negotiations under the leadership of the African Union.
