It is said that the number of seats in the regional council, which was approved without a proclamation, has increased from 99 to 165, and the seats will be distributed to the remaining constituencies.

 

It is also said that the region made this decision, which leaves the structure of the constituencies approved by the proclamation, without amending the proclamation, and was based on a statement made without making a proclamation amendment.

 

It is recalled that following the amendment proposed by the regional council to increase the number of seats, the Boro People's Democratic Party council members opposed the idea at the time and were imprisoned.

 

We have repeatedly contacted the president of the Boro Peoples Democratic Party to inquire about the decision to amend the proclamation to reorganize the constituencies that it had filed a petition with the House of Federation.

 

It is worth noting that the party raised objections and complaints regarding the amendment, especially the number of seats in the constituency zone where I was represented, which was called into question.
