Burundi’s Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, Gervais Amb Abayho, said that Ethiopia’s cultural diversity and rich history are a source of pride and inspiration for Africa.

 

The 2nd East African Arts and Culture Festival is being held in Addis Ababa under the theme “Arts and Culture: Regional Connectivity”.

 

In his opening speech at the festival, the Minister said that Addis Ababa is a historical source of strength and the spirit of African unity and said that he is happy to be in the city. 

 

The Minister also expressed his belief that the platform will play a helpful role in preserving and transmitting Africa’s cultural diversity to future generations.

 

He said that the festival is important for building peace among African countries, creating a foundation for development, and strengthening cooperation among the countries.
