Volcano Eruption In Afar .

The zone informed Sheger that there was a volcanic eruption in the active zone of Afar region.

 

It is said that the volcano erupted at Seganto Kebele in Dulsa district of the zone around 3 o'clock this morning.

 

Mr. Abdo Ali, the chief administrator of the zone, told us that there are new explosions on the mountain in the mentioned area.

 

Mr. Abdo said that along with the smoke coming out of the explosion, mud will be blown upwards and if the mud lands on the body, it will burn badly.

 

The administration of the zone said that there were various volcanic eruptions on Mount Dauphin from 9 o'clock in the night, but they told us that they heard it at 3 o'clock in the morning.

 

What's going on in the area? Where does the situation lead? The Addis Ababa University of Geo Physics, Space Science and Astronomy Institute said that they do not have information about the erupted volcano at the moment.

 

He told us that security problems and thefts at registration stations due to the earthquake have hindered him from monitoring the situation as much as needed. 

 

It is known that near the mentioned area, the tremors of earthquakes originating from Awash Fentale are frequently felt as far as Addis Ababa.

 

The highest so far has been recorded as 5.1 on the Richter scale.
