An unexpected gift was given to Macedonia.

The Bole International Airport domestic passenger terminal has temporarily suspended services, it has been announced. The suspension of services is reportedly due to a fire caused by cigarette lighters collected from passengers, which are among the prohibited items for flights.

 

For the safety of passengers, the airport authority stated that the terminal has temporarily halted its operations.

 

As a result, passengers traveling to domestic destinations today are advised to proceed through the international passenger terminal to board their flights, according to the airport.

 

Starting from tomorrow, the 29th of Tir, 2017 EC (Ethiopian Calendar), services will resume as usual at the domestic terminal, Ethiopian Airlines announced.

 

The airline has apologized to passengers for the inconvenience caused.
