In his message, he said that he congratulated all Ethiopians, Ethiopians of birth, friends of Ethiopia and all black people. 

He described Adwa as a special event where it was officially declared that human beings should not accept oppression and slavery based on their skin color and identity; where it was proven that all human beings have equal rights; where a new sun shone for our world, leaving a great historical mark. 

The heroes who made history, by putting aside individual arguments, putting the common country first, and uniting as one person from all parts of Ethiopia, shed their blood, sacrificed their lives, and shamed the enemy, have prevented Ethiopia from falling into the hands of the colonial master plan. 

They recalled that the heroes paid a great price for Ethiopia, and that the victory of Adwa, which was witnessed by the people of the world in one voice, was the foundation of national unity and victory. 

Adwa is not a specific event that will pass away, but a book with many forms that generations read in succession, using yesterday as a resource for today, building tomorrow and passing it on to the next generation. 

Adwa is a symbol of heroism, Adwa is a symbol of invincibility, Adwa is a symbol of unity, Adwa is a symbol of history-making, Adwa is a symbol of sacrifice for the country. Today's generation, like its ancestors, should be a national patriot wherever they are engaged in order to record many victories in Adwa, and should not only talk about history but also be a history-maker by fighting poverty, the main enemy of the country, in unity. 

Our heroic ancestors handed down to the next generation not only a land that was not colonized by colonialism, but also a mind that was not colonized by colonialism. Therefore, when we seek solutions to our problems without falling under the colonial rule of our minds; a ladder for our development, we should always study and enrich our indigenous values, not looking abroad. 

If we always think as a country; if we stand together to maintain our national unity, there will be many Adwa. He concluded his message by saying that we can go beyond our country and become a source of hope for our continent and even the world.
