#Ethiopia Dredawa University Teaching and Referral Hospital, which was built at a cost of more than 1 billion birr, was inaugurated and started providing services.

 

The graduation ceremony was attended by the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Derje Duguma, the Mayor of Dredawa Administration, Keder Juhar, and the President of Dredawa University, Ubah Adam (Dr.).

 

Dr. Dereje Duguma said that the partial opening of the hospital will enable better quality services to be provided in the eastern part of the country.

 

In particular, Dredawa is the commercial and industrial center of the eastern part of the country, and the importance of the hospital is important to meet the growing demand for health services, ESA reported.

 

He further assured that his ministry will provide the necessary support so that the hospital can be put into service at its full capacity.

 

 The hospital has up to 400 patient beds, four major and four minor surgery rooms, a delivery room, an intensive care unit, pharmacies, research centers and other departments.
