Of the college students surveyed by China Population News, 57 percent said they did not want to be in a relationship.  It is known that the main reason for this is that they do not know how to balance the time they give to love and education, and that they focus on economic self-improvement before love and family formation. 

It has been stated that college students do not have a clear understanding of emotional relationships due to the lack of scientific education on marriage and love. It has been suggested that universities may focus on teaching young college students about population and national conditions, new marriages and childbearing concepts.

It is also expected that the courses will help them improve their ability to properly understand marriage and manage romantic relationships.
