Among the projects mentioned in priority; It is one of the first and middle high school in Debre-Barhan city that was fully funded by the Sunshine Philanthropy Foundation, and it is said that it will provide education opportunities for 300 children of needy families in the area.

 In his speech, the general manager of Sunshine Construction Company, Mr. Abiy Gezaw, said that in addition to Debre Berhan School, which Sunshine inaugurated on the day, they have also established similar schools in the previous years in Wolega Nekmet, Tigray Axum and Gurage Agna.

For students studying in this school established by the Sunshine Philanthropy Foundation; In addition to providing uniforms and learning materials through Sunshine, it is stated that 250 birr will be given to each student for food and transportation every month.

The school welcomes 300 students and is fully staffed with 21 teachers and 14 support staff.

The Mayor of Debre-Barhan City, Mr. Bedlu Wubshet, who was the guest of honor at the graduation program, testified that one of the projects Sunshine Construction is known for is social responsibility.

He also pointed out that the school has wide opportunities and prospects for growth and expansion.

In the program that continues after the completion of the school's graduation program; ..Sunshine Construction won the bid issued by the Ethiopian Roads Authority and built the asphalt road from Debre Berhan Ankober with a budget of 1.6 billion birr.

Mr. Yared Gemechu, who is the engineer in charge of the road work project; He explained that the distance of the road is 42 kilometers and the width is from 10 to 30 meters.

 Yared added that the project was started in October 2018 and said that due to the outbreak of covid and other problems that could delay the work, the project was not completed within the scheduled time. .. In addition to the road project that was inaugurated on the day, Sunshine Construction is also working on the road from Debre Berhan Jiruru to Mimi Junction.

 Along with the projects he is doing, Sunshine, who is known for doing many charity works in every area, on Friday, March 27, 2016, built the Ankober Madhanemalem Church at his own expense and inaugurated it on the annual King's Day.

The manager of the Ankober Madhanemalem Church and the member of the building contractor's committee, Chief Priest Khat-Hewat Habwold, who gave their testimony about the development works done by Sunshine Construction at this place; He explained that the church was founded in 1264 AD during the reign of Emperor Yakuno God, and that it has gone through many challenges in different eras, and mentioned the man-made and natural events that have happened to the church.

"When Sunshine Construction started the road work from Debre Berhan-Ankobar, we met the owner of Sunshine, Dr. Samuel Tafesen, and asked them to build the church for us. He accepted with full willingness and joy, and the construction started," said Chief Priest Khata-Yewat Habwold. "For this charitable work, Dr. Samuel Tafesen called him 'Abraham II'," he said, expressing his happiness that the construction of the church was completed and it was ready for inauguration.
