Addis Ababa, The Standing Committee on Human Resources Development, Employment and Technology Affairs of the House of Representatives has stated that the services provided by the Black Lion Specialized Referral and Teaching Hospital have not received adequate attention.

The members of the standing committee evaluated the work activities of various colleges and institutions under Addis Ababa University through field observation.

The Chairman of the Standing Committee, Dr. Negari Lencho, said that the Black Lion Referral Specialized Hospital under Addis Ababa University should receive appropriate attention in terms of the services and research it is providing, both in terms of budget and various supports.

The CEO of Addis Ababa University College of Health Sciences, Dr. Andualem Danek, said that the hospital is serving 500,000 outpatients and 20,000 inpatients per year.

However, they said that they are having trouble with the hospital's lack of budget and lack of space.

According to the information of the school, Dr. Negari Lencho said that the education and health centers under Addis Ababa University should receive due attention and the standing committee will talk to the relevant parties.
