#Ethiopia Altash National Park in the old pronunciation Alatash in Amhara National Regional Government in West Gondar Zone; It is located in Qara district and since the 1930s it has been protected by the community as a strict forest.

According to a 2012 study by the International Environmental Protection Agency, Altash National Park has a significant role in preventing global climate change by sequestering 20,132,576 tons of carbon.
