The Ethiopian Commercial Bank Negaras Business Innovation Competition is a platform where millionaires will win today, where high levels of creativity will be seen, and where ideas that will create our country’s big companies tomorrow are presented, said Ato Getnet Tadesse, CEO of the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation.

The third phase of the Ethiopian Commercial Bank Negaras Business Innovation Competition, the Millionaires’ Final Competition, is being held at the National Palace.

In his speech at the event, Ato Getnet recalled that the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation has been organizing this business innovation competition in the past.

In the process, he said that those with winning ideas have entered the business and created thousands of jobs today and are doing valuable work in the Ethiopian economy.

He said that ABC has reached this stage by improving the format of this business innovation competition, increasing the prizes, ideas, and the number and type of competitors.

He expressed his deep gratitude to all those who have made and are making great contributions and support in the process in the past, today and today.

He recalled that the Adwa Victory Day was celebrated on a high level at the ABC Media Complex in Shegole today under the theme “Adwa - Living Struggle, Living Victory”.

As he said at the time, Ethiopians should stand firm as a country, protect our sovereignty and protect the lasting interests of our people, especially by overcoming poverty, and protect our sovereignty in the economic sector.

He also pointed out that the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation is working to achieve this with the motto ‘Ethiopian Excellence’.

Ato Getnet said that EBC has always been working hard to provide a platform for young Ethiopians with creative and business ideas to compete.

Now, the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia is playing a significant role, especially by strengthening our financial capacity and putting our ideas into practice.

Ato Getnet said that the letters ‘EBC’ and ‘CBE’ are similar, and the two institutions were established early in the history of the construction of modern institutions in Ethiopia and are similar in age.

He explained that EBC is making a great contribution in the media and communication sector, while CBE is making a great contribution in the economic sector.

He thanked the members of the strategic management of the institution, including Ato Abe Sano, President of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, on behalf of the competitors and the judges.

The CEO said that the judges played a very important role in making the Negadras program a high-level intellectual competition, and expressed his gratitude for the contribution of these judges from various professional fields.

He also thanked the EBC producers for their great contribution in making the program with high content and production quality.

He also said that the Negadras Ethiopian Commercial Bank Business Innovation Competition is not just a competition, but also part of the reform work that EBC has started to transform into content.

We are working extensively on program and news content that will bring us closer and unite us as a country; we will continue to do this, he added.

He said that we will continue to expand our social obligation given to us by the proclamation to be a platform for people with wisdom and ideas, not only by saying “Come to us” through programs like Ethiopian Idol.

“The idea of the Negadras Entrepreneurship Competition is national; it is transformative; we will stand here and serve and work more,” he wished the contestants a good competition time.
