Ellen Meskhu's SpaceX Mars Mission to Launch Next Year

SpaceX founder Ellen Meskhu has said that the Starship rocket will be heading to Mars by the end of next year.

 

He said that if the first missions are successful, it could land humans on Mars as early as 2029, but that the goal is more likely to be achieved by 2031, he wrote on his social media account.

 

Starship is a large rocket that stands at 123 meters tall, and Ellen Meskhu has said that it is crucial to his ambition to colonize Mars.

 

However, the rockets suffered a malfunction during testing, with one of the rockets exploding minutes after launch from Texas last week, according to the BBC.

 

SpaceX said it was reviewing data to better understand the cause of the recent explosion and concluded that the explosion occurred after the engines failed.

 

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has urged the company to conduct adequate testing before sending Starship to Mars.

 

Meskhe expressed his belief that humans will one day become owners of multiple planets, and said that the Tesla humanoid robot, which was unveiled to the public last year, will accompany him on the planned flight to Mars next year.
