A member of the executive committee of the Prosperity Party and the head of the Oromia region Shimels Abdisa said that the development of the rural corridor started in the Oromia region by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) has many benefits.

He mentioned that the large population living in rural areas in Ethiopia is the basic economic potential of the country. However, they mentioned that there are problems in production and lifestyle.

Therefore, he said that the rural corridor development is being activated to change the difficult lifestyle.

The development of the corridor allows the farmers to preserve their culture and tradition and keep the environment clean. He said that by making the garden abundant with chicken, vegetables and fruits as well as honey and milk production, it will make him follow a modern and simple lifestyle.

ESA reported that the development of the rural corridor will reduce the living gap between rural and urban areas by establishing better infrastructure.

He also said that the development of the rural corridor will give farmers the opportunity to borrow money from the bank and create wealth by building a standard house.

Therefore, the government of Oromia region is enacting a law by which the farmers will be the owner of the house map by raising the operational standards of the rural houses under the "Kulquluma" program.

He explained that the development of the rural corridor is a process of creating a modern way of life where the farmers park their tractors and cars in the compound. He said that the work of connecting the works that were being carried out in a fragmented way has been strengthened.

He pointed out that real changes are being seen in the areas where the rural corridor development has been done by the regional government by expanding the awareness of the farmers. He assured that the development work will continue.
