Adequate preparations are being made for the African Union Summit: Ethiopian Federal Police

The Commissioner General of the Ethiopian Federal Police, Demelash Gebre Michael, said that adequate preparations are already being made for the success of the 38th African Union Summit.

The VIP protocol escorts and drivers were inaugurated.

During the ceremony, the Commissioner General indicated that the drones and other modern technologies that the institution has equipped will be used to make the summit a success. 

He stated that extensive preparations are being made by training the manpower in the country, China and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and modernizing the security work.

Commissioner General Demelash Gebre Michael gave the graduates a job description, saying that they are expected to work as ambassadors by implementing the knowledge and skills they have acquired through training, working with strict discipline and coordination, and making the Union Assembly a success by further enhancing the image of our country.

It was learned that the VIP protocol escorts and drivers who received training at Kolfe Technical and Vocational College came from 55 institutions, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Palace, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ethiopian Federal Police, the National Intelligence and Security Service, the Addis Ababa Police, ride transport, and car rental companies.
