Ethiopia-China relations are based on shared vision for development: Ambassador Qasim Kebede

The Ethiopia-China Economic and Trade Forum, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade and Regional Cooperation in collaboration with other stakeholders, has opened in Addis Ababa. 

 

Ambassador Qasim Kebede, Director General for Middle East, Asia and Pacific Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the relations between the two countries are based on shared vision for development. 

 

Ambassador Qasim said that Ethiopia is committed to further strengthening trade and investment with China, and that the forum will play a significant role. 

 

Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia Chen Hai, for his part, said that China's relations with Ethiopia have been accompanied by tangible results. 

 

State Minister of Trade and Regional Cooperation Yasmin Wehabrebi; asked the participants of the forum to explore new investment opportunities. 

 

The State Minister noted that the strategic partnership that Ethiopia has reached with China will create favorable conditions for trade and investment relations. 

 

Dr. Aynalem Abayneh, Vice President of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that they will work to further strengthen relations with their Chinese counterparts and bring about tangible changes, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
