Ethiopia and Brazil agree to work together on climate change solutions

The Minister of Planning and Development, Fitsum Assefa (PhD), held talks with the Brazilian Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Maria Osmarina da Silva.

 

The Minister, who held the talks on the sidelines of the Brazilian Climate Change Conference, held talks with the heads of the Brazilian delegation, which is currently holding the presidency of COP 30.

 

According to Minister Fitsum Assefa (PhD), the countries agreed to work together on global leadership on climate change.

 

She also expressed her happiness that Ethiopia was chosen to host the 32nd COP and congratulated them.

 

The two countries, which have strong ties, also agreed to work together on solutions to avert the climate change crisis that is challenging the world.

 

The Minister stated that Ethiopia has confirmed that it will play its part in ensuring that the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference being held in Belem is a success and that countries will be quick to take practical action.
