Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) said that the development of rural corridors is a national initiative with a broad vision to transform the country. 

 

The Prime Minister launched the development of rural corridors in Hamido Kebele, Adilo District, Kembata Zone, Central Ethiopia Region. 

 

He also visited a model farmer living in the kebele and observed that the farmer has done exemplary work by creating a clean, healthy and visually appealing living environment in his residential compound. 

 

He also noted that in addition to creating living spaces, he is also actively involved in the development of Lemat heritage and gardens; he pointed out that this work should be expanded in all areas in collaboration. 

 

The Prime Minister also said that the efforts made to turn Mount Hambarcho, a unique natural resource in the zone, into an eco-tourism center through community participation are very impressive. 

 

The 777 climbing steps built on the mountain have made the area an accessible attraction, and tourists who love mountain climbing and watching various species of birds can come here and have a wonderful time, he said.
