Government institutions can improve their services by conducting assessments to fill gaps in service delivery and to provide quality services.

The Ethiopian Quality Award Organization signed an agreement today to assess the quality of service delivery of 19 branches under the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Service based on the Excellence Model developed by the Ethiopian Quality Award Organization based on international quality measurement standards and to work with the organization on quality issues.

The agreement is a way for the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Service to assess the service delivery of its branches and resolve complaints and provide quality services, said Dr. Abdulkadir Gelgelo, Director General of the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Service.

The service had previously worked with the Ethiopian Quality Award Organization on the assessment of some of its branches, but now it is ready to conduct the quality and service delivery assessment on its 19 branches.

The Ethiopian Quality Award Organization is working to improve the quality of services and products by developing international quality standards, making institutions more competitive on a global scale, and by addressing the problems that arise, so that the public receives complete and quality services, said the CEO of the organization, Tewodros Mbara.

The CEO said that quality standards in Ethiopia are not done by private institutions, but by government institutions. The Ethiopian Medicines Service will be assessed by an independent body and will help identify and improve the problems in service delivery.

It was said that institutions can assess their services independently and identify the gaps and improve them.

The Ethiopian Quality Award Organization was established to support the government's efforts to promote quality products and services, and it will be supervised by the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to achieve this goal.
