The Ethiopian Development Bank has started the fourth round of training for small and medium enterprise operators.

It is said that the training, which was officially started in the presence of 4 thousand trainees at the Millennium Hall, will take the training to 112 thousand trainees in 95 centers in 57 cities across the country.

Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abebe, Labor and Skills Minister Muferihat Kamil and Development Bank President Dr. Yohans Ayalew were present at the training launch program.

Mayor Adanech Abebe said at this time that small and medium enterprises are supported by such training, which will bring about economic progress.

Especially for Ethiopia's efforts to be self-sufficient in food, the role of farmers is high. They said that it will increase the development sector of the country as well as the city.

He also urged the trainees to actively follow the training.

The president of the bank, Dr. Yohans Ayaleu, explained that the training will be given in collaboration with the World Bank; With this, he said that he is receiving more training than the previous three rounds.

He said that the bank has trained a total of 33 thousand trainees and used 20 billion birr in lease finance.

The president said that the participation of the youth of Gode and Jinka and Tigray region, who did not have the opportunity before, in the training makes it special.
