I can see that the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) is in a fundamental transformation process, said Lt. Gen. Yilma Merdasa, Chief of Staff of the Ethiopian Air Force.

Lt. Gen. Yilma Merdasa told EBC Dot Stream during a visit to the EBC Media Complex today that EBC has recently made significant changes in the presentation of news and entertainment programs. 

He said that it is encouraging that EBC is developing itself with technology and human resources to remain competitive in this world where technology is changing rapidly.

He also said that the work the institution is doing in maintaining a green footprint and beautifying the environment is commendable. 

Lt. Gen. Yilma said that he has seen that the EBC is undergoing a fundamental transformation process, adding that the institution is becoming more accessible to the public with a better approach and speed than ever before. 

He noted that the Dotstream, television and radio broadcasts are providing the public with information quickly and with quality at any time and place. 

He stated that the institution that EBC has built will make it competitive with media outlets in Africa and the world. 

Lt. Gen. Yilma said that the current level of EBC can be an example for other institutions. 

He noted that the Air Force has carried out many projects with EBC, and that they will continue to work together on country-specific projects.
