The youth of Adama city cleaned the celebration of Demera together with religious leaders

The youth of Adama city, together with the religious leaders, cleaned the square where the Cross Demera festival is celebrated.

During the cleaning program, Bishop Bezue Abune Gorogorios of the Eastern Showa Diocese of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church said that the cross is a celebration of solidarity, unity and light.

He mentioned that the festival is one where everyone goes out together and participates. The youth and leaders of Adama city as well as fathers from different denominations thanked them for the cleaning work done for the convenience of the festival.

Archbishop Bzuue Abune Gorogorios added that everyone should stand together for the peace of our country and the city.

Youth representative of Adama city, Oliphan Girma, said that young people from the city's youth organization, together with the religious fathers, carried out cleaning work.

He pointed out that the city's youth organization is actively participating in the social services of the community, along with maintaining the peace of the city and its surroundings.

Young Oliphan stated that they are working in cooperation with other stakeholders to ensure that the festival is celebrated peacefully. He said that the cleaning work done today shows that young people are actively participating in social service.

Ashenafi Ajema, head of Adama City Office of the Prosperity Party, who attended the cleaning program at Adama Cross Square, said that the city's youth organization is actively participating in social services and volunteer activities.

According to EZA, today is a demonstration of the work done to make the square clean and interesting for the celebration of the Cross Demera.

He emphasized that the youth should strengthen the contribution they are making in keeping the peace of their area and the city and continue to strengthen the cooperation they are making to ensure that the festivals of Mawlid, Cross and Irecha are celebrated flawlessly.
