OpenAI to build one of the world's largest data centers in the United Arab Emirates

OpenAI, the owner of ChatGPT, is to build what is said to be one of the world's largest data centers in the United Arab Emirates.

 

This is said to be a sign that the United Arab Emirates has paid great attention to artificial intelligence. 

 

The United Arab Emirates is planning to build a large number of data centers, each of which will consume up to 5 gigawatts of electricity.

 

The first of these, OpenAI, is said to be built in the capital Abu Dhabi. 

 

When completed, the project will consume as much energy as five nuclear reactors. 

 

OpenAI has previously expressed interest in partnering with various governments to build additional data centers outside the United States, Bloomberg reported.
