Development projects should be maintained to provide long-term service - Ato Tagesse Chafo

Speaker of the House of People's Representatives, Tagesse Chafo, said that maintenance work should be strengthened to provide long-term service to the community.

 

Speaker of the House of People's Representatives, Tagesse Chafo, Head of the Southern Ethiopia Regional State Administration, Tilahun Kebede, and other senior officials jointly visited the development projects carried out in Kamba Woreda, Gamo Zone. 

 

The delegation inaugurated the Pico Hydropower Project, which was built in Dingamo Kebele of the Woreda with the support of Arbaminch University and Christian Aid.

 

This project, which cost 19 million birr, has a capacity to generate 15 kilowatts of power and will benefit 600 households.

 

The inauguration ceremony of the project was attended by the Minister of Water and Energy, Habtamu Itefa (Dr. E/R), senior leaders of the region, ministers, and other officials.
