The state of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam is very impressive: Ustaz Kamil Shemsu

*************************

The current state of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam is very impressive, said Ustaz Kamil Shemsu, a member of the House of Peoples' Representatives who recently visited the site.

Ustaz Kamil, who is known for presenting and explaining the current state of the dam in international media, told ABC News that the location of the dam, the condition of its construction, its size and the sacrifices being made for its success are beyond what we hear in the media.

He said that the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam is a major project that has shown our African brothers that just as our ancestors did in the history of the Adwa victory, we can also complete great works with our own strength.

He said that the dam, which was built by the joint efforts of Ethiopians, has brought many benefits, and that the start of fish production is a great blessing.

He said that the length and width of the dam are very impressive, and that it can generate great power, is nearing completion, and that the amount of water it contains, and the many islands that have been created, have created a special feeling when they were there recently.

He also pointed out that although the construction of the dam has reached the end, the remaining infrastructure still needs the support and assistance of the people.

Therefore, he called on the people to continue to strengthen their support until the dam is fully completed.

Saying that we should know the value of the Renaissance Dam, Ustaz Kamil Shemsu said that it is a project in which all Ethiopians, regardless of ethnicity, faith, age, color, participate together and speak one language.

"The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam is a project where we can put aside our differences and express our unity, so we must always be vigilant and ensure that it is preserved and passed on to future generations," he said.
