The information obtained from the ministry shows that the Minister of Federal Ministry of Peace, Mr. Mohamed Adris, met with the leaders of the Supreme Council of Ethiopian Islamic Affairs and members of the executive committee.

The minister stated that he will strengthen his cooperation with the Supreme Council in peace building and national issues.

- He thanked the minister on behalf of himself and the Supreme Council for coming to visit the Majlis.

- The Supreme Council of Ethiopian Islamic Affairs stated that it is doing various works to strengthen the unity of Muslims and the peace of our country.

- The Supreme Council requested the government, especially the Ministry of Peace, to give them the necessary support in the upcoming Majlis elections.

What did the Minister of Peace Muhammad Adris say?

° President of the Supreme Council Sheikh Haji Ibrahim Tufa praised the work being done to raise the name of our country Ethiopia on the world stage.

- He thanked the Supreme Council for the work done to resolve the old dispute and conflict between the Afar and Somali brother peoples.   They called for the continuation of international peace and development activities. 

He said that citizens should not be troubled by the lack of peace in a country that is a religious country and has a lot of problem-solving culture and experience.

° The Supreme Council called for a national call for peace and a prayer for peace during Friday prayers so that the current peace can be improved, the challenges of peace that are being seen are resolved and a lasting solution can be found.

° He stated that the government has repeatedly called for peace to resolve conflicts through dialogue and that it is committed to this.

° They informed that the government will provide the necessary assistance for the upcoming Majlis elections to be conducted peacefully.
