What happened to Love Addis Nekasana in Macedonia?
The famous singer Love Addis Nekasana, who recently visited the Macedonian Elderly and Mental Health Information Center, was approached by Gideon, who lives at the center.
The center also recorded the incident and shared it on social media, which has attracted more than half a million people to watch.
As seen in the released video, Love Addis is seen expressing her gratitude to Gideon, who has been receiving medical care at the center for many years, and asking her to sing for him.
FM Addis 97.1 Mesenbecha program's guest vocalist, Peykebadis, expresses her delight at the talented act.
"Neither Gideon nor I had any information about what was happening. Suddenly, I entered the room where he was. The joy I saw on his face was indescribable. I entered and asked him about Abebe Berhane," she says.
"Gideon recognized me from the musicians, Esther Aweke, and Ephraim Tamru, and I heard from the center that he admired my love, so I played him my favorite song; "I am very happy and I am very happy," she said.
As Peykaaddis says, what she did for Gedion is one of the most meaningful moments in her life.
"More than the fact that Meskern Yilma Gebre wrote the lyrics for him, Abebe Berhane composed the music for him, and Elias Work directed the video for him, the opportunity I sang for Gedion is unforgettable; I also give it a big place; I would be happy if I could make your music better than this and sing for him all the time," she told FM Addis 97.1's Mesenbecha program.
The singer, who says that going to Macedonia and seeing the center made me stop and think, created questions in her mind, says that the last message I have for Gedion remains in my heart.
"I said, 'There is a fall; we do not know when and what will happen to humanity. Thank you for visiting us, but help Benjamin.'" She quoted Gideon as saying.
According to singer Feyb Addis Neka Biyat, Macedonia Gideon's information center for the elderly and mentally ill, which has more than 8,000 members, should be supported by everyone in their capacity, she told FM Addis 97.1's Mesenbecha program.
