The quality of the Jegol Corridor rehabilitation work is improving, said Harari Regional Governor Ordin Bedri.

 

He said that in the third round of the corridor development work, the internal road from Shulum Ahmed to Megalla Ukhat, covering more than 6 kilometers, was built with high quality. 

 

Pointing out that the entire work was completed at a high speed within the given time frame of 60 to 70 days; he stated that the project has created job opportunities for many citizens and changed the work culture. 

 

He said during the inauguration of the corridor that the internal corridor, which was completed with better quality than the previous rounds, was built with necessary infrastructure combined with beauty. 

 

Residents expressed their satisfaction with the corridor development, which not only protected the heritage sites from danger but also made the area more livable.

 

The first and second phases of the Jegol Heritage Corridor redevelopment project, which began in 2015, have successfully developed the perimeter of the wall and 7 kilometers of internal roads, said Ordin Bedri, the mayor.
