Reports indicate that Netsanet passed away today after an illness, with sources describing it variously as brief or long-term. 37 38 His age is reported between 42 and 49.

Over a career spanning more than two decades, Netsanet became a household name as the host of the popular EBS TV family game show Yebeteseb Chewata, where his wit and ability to connect with audiences of all ages brought joy to millions. 38 He starred in numerous films, including FBI, Freshman, Yanchiw Leba, City Boys, and others, showcasing his range in comedy, drama, and suspense. Born in Addis Ababa, he studied Theatre Arts at Addis Ababa University and was celebrated for mentoring younger artists while contributing to Ethiopia’s modern filmmaking and theater scenes. 37
