Awash Bank has been recognized as the only best bank in Ethiopia.
The bank has been chosen for the fourth time among 36 top African banks, being the sole representative from Ethiopia.
Global Finance announced this selection for the 32nd time, highlighting the best banks, with Awash Bank being one of the selected 36 banks from Africa.
The criteria for selection include profitability and overall wealth growth, which were the main factors for the banks chosen this year.
The bank was noted for its growth in total assets, annual income growth, and annual profit, as well as its ability to provide credit and growth in capital contributions.
On the other hand, other indicators of growth, such as customer base and market share growth, brand development, service diversification, and the introduction of new services, also contributed to Awash Bank being named the best bank in Ethiopia for the fourth time.
For banks that succeed in this selection, the award is presented by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank during their upcoming annual joint meeting in October.
