Ethiopia, EU strategic partnership to be strengthened

 

‎Addis Ababa, March 2, 2017 (FMC) It has been suggested that the cooperation and strategic relationship between Ethiopia and the European Union should be strengthened.

 

Ethiopian Ambassador to the Netherlands Eshete Tilahun held talks with Pernilla Schollin, Director General of Protocol at the European Commission.

 

During the talks, it was noted that the cooperation and strategic relationship between Ethiopia and the European Union should be strengthened.

 

Discussions were also held on ways to work closely on issues of mutual interest, including global and regional issues.

 

Ambassador Eshete Tilahun expressed during the talks that Ethiopia is committed to strengthening its partnership with the European Union.

 

He also said that they will work to safeguard mutual interests within the European Union institutions, according to information received from the Ethiopian Embassy in Brussels.

 

The Director General, for her part, explained the importance of diplomatic relations in demonstrating Ethiopia's commitment to the European Union.
