New Zoo Park with Lions and Other Tourist Attractions

The Peacock Public Recreation Park, which was established in 1957 in the Bole Sub-city of Addis Ababa, has been renovated and renamed as the New Zoo Park.

After the city administration renovated the park, it was opened to the public by introducing various animals and building recreational areas.

Birtuquan Zegye, an education and training specialist at the Public Recreation Areas Management Corporation, told ABC that after the renovation of the New Zoo Park, a model of the Black Nile ecosystem, four animal species, a Sof Omar cave display and children's playgrounds were newly included.

Among the wild animals in the park are lions, African wolves and turtles.

The park also has a modern hall and entertainment islands for weddings, birthdays and other events, as well as children's playgrounds.

Visitors to the park told EBC that the new zoo park is a comfortable place to relax after its renovation.
