The suspect in the murder of Dr. Andualem Dagne has been arrested

The Bahir Dar City Police have announced that the suspect in the murder of Dr. Andualem Dagne is a member of the armed forces in the Amhara region. 

 

The Bahir Dar City Administration Police Department, in a statement regarding the murder of Dr. Andualem Dagne, stated that an investigation team has been formed and is working on the murder of the deceased. 

 

Commander Waleleng Bimrew, the head of the Bahir Dar City Administration Police Department, who made the statement, said that the investigation team, in collaboration with the community, was able to arrest the suspect. 

 

With this, the police have announced that the suspect in the murder of Dr. Andualem Dagne is a member of the armed forces in the Amhara region, "Esubalaw". 

 

The police announced that the person was able to be arrested after the surveillance and investigation confirmed that he had committed the murder. 

 

The statement also indicated that the person appeared in court after being arrested and confessed to the crime. 

 

Commander Waleleg Bimirew, who said that the main perpetrator of the crime has been arrested, said that efforts are being made to arrest additional accomplices in the crime. 

 

It is recalled that on January 24/2017, at around 1:30 pm, Dr. Andualem Dapen was on his way to his residence in Bissat Gion after work when he was murdered in an area commonly known as Koshe.
