The story of a family!

The 38th Ordinary Session of the African Union (AU) has concluded successfully.

Our country, Ethiopia, has lived up to its expectations as the seat of the AU. The welcome, hospitality and programs have impressed our guests.

It has left its guests with unforgettable memories and lasting impressions. As a result, many guests have extended their stay.

Ethiopia has demonstrated its commitment to the achievement of the objectives and principles of the AU through the preparation and hosting of the Summit.

Many have done their utmost to ensure the success of the AU Summit. The organizing committee, foreign diplomats, protocol experts, TV and electricity institutions, Ethiopian Airlines, security institutions, traffic police, youth volunteers, media, art and circus members, hotels, Addis Ababa administration officials and experts, cleaning experts, worked as one heart, as one body. 

The people of Addis Ababa city did everything they could to make the conference a success by providing the guests with due respect and hospitality, waiting patiently when the roads were closed. I express my deepest gratitude to all of you, the Ethiopian government and myself. 

We all impressed our guests by working with patriotism, order and discipline. We showed the height of our country. More than a thousand media people showed our good image to the world. The tens of thousands of guests became witnesses to our country that is growing. 

I believe that this collaboration and our commitment to our country’s success will continue beyond the summit. Our efforts will continue until Ethiopia becomes a symbol of African prosperity.
