The Minister of Tourism, Serafit Kasa, visited the works of the Sustainable Lalibela Project, which is part of the renovation of Lalibela Structure Churches.

 

In this regard, the minister sent a message on her social media page; He said that the renovation and maintenance works of the churches are in good condition.

 

They mentioned that the project included major works to repair and protect the churches and to make the area comfortable for activities.

 

He also pointed out that there are 22 heritage sites that require urgent maintenance, including historical land layout works, capacity building, exhibition and advertising works.

 

He mentioned that an agreement was recently reached with the French government to start the second phase of the "Ethiopian Heritage project" which includes Lalibela and other areas.

 

Lalibela, which gathers many people from the country and all over the world, is lit up by believers and visitors on Christmas Eve, the minister said.
