The President of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, Ambassador Thaye Atsiksilase, recently visited the village of Tarita, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
According to Mr. Ato Mekonon, the Minister of State for Quality Infrastructure Assurance at the Ministry of Trade and Regional Cooperation, the quality village project was started by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, and 8.2 billion birr was spent on its construction.
They mentioned that the quality village includes a modern laboratory and office building to ensure product quality.
Abdulhakim Mulu, the Minister of State for Trade System and Licensing, noted that this quality village is important for the country’s economic growth by ensuring high standards for products.
During his visit, the President toured various institutions in the quality village, including those in the health, construction, agriculture, food and beverage, and industrial sectors. He checked the laboratory equipment used to assess the quality of products and services and expressed his satisfaction with what he saw.
