Harari Region Governor Ordin Bedri said that Shuwalid festival was celebrated in a way that strengthened unity.

 

The head of government also stated that efforts are being made to make the festival more tourist attraction.

 

During his meeting with ETV, the head of government said that the practice of preserving the heritage found at Jegol should be repeated in order to pass the festival on to future generations.

 

They mentioned that the cleaning and beautification works done around and in Jegol are encouraging.
