The necessary election materials for the referendum of Wolayta zone have arrived at the polling stations - Election Board
The National Election Board of Ethiopia has announced that the necessary election materials have arrived at the polling stations for the referendum that will be held again tomorrow in Walayta Zone.
The board informed Fana Broadcasting Corporation that the necessary preparations for the referendum to be held in the zone again tomorrow have been completed.
There are 1 thousand 812 polling stations in 12 election coordination centers in the zone and 9 thousand 60 election officials have been moved to their assigned stations.
The board stated that 5 thousand 212 of the election officials came from Addis Ababa and noted that they had participated in national elections before and had achieved better performance.
The information of the board indicated that the necessary training has already been given to the bodies conducting the election.
The board has confirmed that both the officials and the resources to conduct the referendum have reached the polling stations at the time of the election.
The referendum will be held to form one region with 6 zones and 5 special districts. It is to be remembered that it was canceled due to violations of the law during the referendum.
