Ethiopian Commodity Exchange Appoints Mergia Baysa as Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Directors of the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange has appointed Mergia Baysa as Chief Executive Officer of the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange.

 

Mergia Baysa has served as the Dire Dawa Branch Manager of the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange since its inception; as well as in various positions at the head office as a professional and business manager. He has also been leading the institution as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the past seven years. 

 

The Board of Directors of the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange has made two other appointments, appointing Ms. Qedda Sethawu as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Marketing and Sales Sector. 

 

It has also appointed Tamrat Tessema as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Warehouse and Quality Sector. The Ethiopian Commodity Exchange announced in a statement to EBC that Tamrat has been appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Board of Directors of the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange.
