Prosperity Party's 1st emergency general meeting has started in Hawassa city where the party's president and Federal Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed were present.

According to the president of the party and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, many successful works have been done in carrying out the decisions that the party made at the first general assembly.

Since the conference, they have faced many challenges, including the third round of war in northern Ethiopia.

For example, he mentioned that the assembly decided that "Ethiopia should export wheat". He said that this year, Ethiopia will start providing wheat production for export.

In this regard, he explained that the activities carried out to activate the directions set by the 1st General Assembly of the party have taught us that success can be achieved by turning challenges into victories.

He said that it has been a few years since the establishment of the Prosperity Party, but it has many members, but it is a party that is mentioned on the continent and even at the international level.

In addition to the fact that the party is leading a country that ranks among the most populous countries in Africa, he said that he will be expected to do many jobs in the future.

For this, he said, we should listen to each other based on knowledge and skills.

Prime Minister Abiy, who stated that Ethiopia is a great country with the hope of development, explained that the myths that hinder Ethiopia's development journey should be overcome.

They especially realized that past stories should not be a source of conflict and division.

He pointed out that it is necessary to take lessons from yesterday's stories and work to prevent them from repeating themselves and stand together to build a better tomorrow.

He said that just as we were able to resist the war we faced in a coordinated way, we should play our part in ensuring lasting peace.
