Government is working hard on primary health services - Dr. Mekdes Daba

A delegation of senior officials from the Ministry of Health, led by the Minister of Health, Dr. Mekdes Daba, visited the ongoing health sector in Gurage and Hadiya zones.

During their visit, the Minister of Health, Dr. Mekdes Daba, said that the government is working hard on primary health services.

The Minister also noted that the facilities providing primary health care in Wolkite city, in particular, are in good progress.

They also visited the unfinished hospital in the city and said that they will work with the relevant authorities to complete the hospital and provide services.

They also visited the Queen Eleni Mohammed Memorial Comprehensive Specialized Hospital in Hadiya zone, which is providing services to many local residents.

He indicated that the work done with the management of the institution to resolve the problems of the hospital, including the supply of medicines, has been effective.

He also explained that many improvements have been seen at the hospital, starting from the improvement of the provision of medical services for critically ill patients.

He said that the ministry will continue its efforts to create healthy and productive citizens by gradually answering the questions raised by the community and health professionals related to medical services.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health also reported the handover of an ambulance to the Queen Eleni Mohammed Memorial Comprehensive Specialized Hospital.
