14-year-old builds app that can detect heart disease in seconds

A 14-year-old from Dallas, Texas, has built a phone app called ‘Circadian AI’ that uses artificial intelligence to detect heart disease in just 7 seconds using just voice.

Unlike his peers, the teenager is the youngest AI expert in the world, according to ODT Central, who has received certification from Oracle and ARM.

The ‘Circadian AI’ app he built uses algorithms to analyze voice recordings from phones to help save lives.

The app has been tested on 15,000 people in the US and 700 in India, with a 96 percent accuracy rate.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said he was impressed by Siddharth’s unique abilities and how he is using technology for the benefit of humanity.

“He is an example to all at such a young age; I encourage him to use technology to his full potential to help the healthcare sector,” he tweeted.

According to the Indian Times, the app has been tested in government hospitals in the Indian city of Guntur, and the tests have shown that the app can quickly and accurately detect heart problems.

The inventor showcased his new invention at the World Congress of Artificial Intelligence in Hyderabad, where he explained that the app will expand healthcare services in a comprehensive way.

According to Siddhartha, the app he developed was primarily designed to be accessible and easy to use for most people.

He added that the goal is to make it accessible to communities where medical services are not available due to a lack of medical equipment.

The young inventor completed his high school education at Lawler Middle School in Texas and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science at the University of Texas, ODT Central reported.
