A compensation fund was approved for countries affected by climate change

 

Addis Ababa, November 11,  The Intergovernmental Climate Conference decided to establish a special fund to compensate developing countries that are harmed by the pollution caused by carbon emissions from developed countries.

 

A "Loss and Damages" fund was approved today to compensate developing countries for damages caused by greenhouse gas emissions from developed countries.

 

TRT World reported that the Climate Conference (COP-27) held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, ended by approving the establishment of the special compensation fund.

 

The special fund is intended to offset the negative impact of greenhouse gas emissions on developing countries.

 

The United Nations Climate Change Conference approved the special fund to cover the losses caused by the countries at risk of global warming.

 

The ministers of climate affairs of different countries also expressed their hope that "the journey that took many years has finally borne fruit".

 

The document of the conference called for the implementation of other promises made by the countries to deal with and adapt to the problems caused by climate change.
