"The Stranger" Heart-wrenching Thriller Movie to be Released This Weekend

#Ethiopia | The heart-wrenching new movie "The Stranger", which was reportedly made at a total cost of 2.5 million birr, will be released this coming Sunday, March 5, 2017.

This morning, the producers and actors held a press conference for media professionals at the Refenti Mall in Bole Bulbula.

The movie, directed by Saddam Negeso, was produced by Labam Pictures and produced by Saddam Film Production and Soloda Studio. It is said to be 1 hour and 32 minutes long. 

It is said that it took more than 8 months to make and complete the movie "The Stranger"; The film features more than 35 famous and supporting actors, including veteran actors Solomon Muhe, Eden Genet, comedian Dereje Haile, Gedion Fikadu, and Assefa Gebre Michael.

Writer and director Saddam Negeso said that the film is unique in that the character Engedu has 7 different identities or personalities; he pointed out that the idea for this was taken from the 2016 Hollywood horror thriller film Split. 

Gedion Fikadu, who played the role of Engedu in the film, said; "When I first read the script, I thought I couldn't do it. It was a challenge to portray seven or more identities in one person. But somehow I managed it."

The film "The Stranger" was released yesterday at the World Cinema for artists and film families, and it has been announced that it will be officially released in all cinemas on March 5, 6 and 7, 2017.
